Patient Testimonials
I had my first appointment with Smiles of Carolina last week. The staff were extremely nice, friendly, professional, and accommodating. Due to staffing issues that day, the dentist himself cleaned my teeth! I was treated like a VIP as a brand new patient. I highly recommend this dental office to anyone looking for a superior experience! I will be going back for sure.

Dentures and Partials

It’s never too late for you to have a beautiful smile. At Smiles of Carolina, we can help with modern dentures and partials that look more natural and fit more securely and more comfortably than ever before. Our denture- and partial-wearing patients are thrilled with their new appearance and improved quality of life, and we can do the same for you.

How Dentures Can Help

When you think of dentures, do you imagine the dentures your grandparents used to wear, complete with blocky, artificial-looking teeth? Those dentures are a thing of the past. Today’s dentures look incredibly natural – even from up close. The colors used to create the gums and teeth of your dentures come in a range of shades to help us select dentures that are completely customized to look right for you. The teeth are placed individually to look very realistic.

If your teeth are missing or seriously damaged because of trauma or decay, dentures can give you back your confidence and your life. When you are missing teeth, a lot of things can change. You may find yourself missing out on social situations, especially when they involve food. Your speech will sound different, and you probably look a lot older than you actually are.

Dentures help to fill out your mouth and can take years off of your appearance. New technology allows dentures to fit securely in your mouth so you can eat most foods with complete confidence. With dentures in place, you will soon find yourself smiling and laughing more, free from worries of what others might think.

Choosing Partials

When a full set of dentures is not the answer, partials are an excellent solution. Like dentures, partials are now created to look much more natural, and very few people will ever be able to tell that you are wearing them. Your partials may be removable, or they may be held in place with crowns or dental implants. Your Smiles of Carolina dentist will discuss your options with you and help you make a decision that is right for your lifestyle and your goals.

Dentures and partials are usually covered by most dental insurance providers. Call your insurance company to find out if Smiles of Carolina dentists Dr. Mark and Dr. Ko are preferred providers on your plan. If you need assistance with this, please give us a call. We are always happy to help.

Caring for Dentures and Partials

Dentures do require a little extra care to keep them looking good. Your Smiles of Carolina dentist will fully discuss the care of your dentures or partials in detail during your consultation appointment at our Knightdale dental office and make sure that all of your questions are answered. Here are the basics:

  • Only use products and cleaning supplies that are specifically designed for dentures to avoid scratching or damaging your dentures or partials.
  • Dentures and partials should be rinsed and soaked using lukewarm water to avoid warping.
  • Take care not to drop your dentures or partials. If you do, call our office immediately so we can check your appliance for damage.
  • Clean according to the recommended schedule to avoid growth of bacteria, which can lead to problems with your gum health and bad breath.

Call Smiles of Carolina today to schedule an examination and find out how dentures or partials can help you.
